Cerebral Palsy Defined In a recent supplement of the journal Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) a broad, comprehensive definition and classification of cerebral palsy has been published. This definition is the work of an international committee of researchers and clinicians, including CanChild researcher Peter Rosenbaum, and it incorporates extensive input from many individuals who responded to early draft definitions.
CanChild has received permission from Mac Keith Press (publishers of DMCN) to make the supplement available free of charge on the CanChild Intranet. Intranet membership is available to service providers and researchers in the field of childhood disability. To access this updated definition and classification of cerebral palsy, you need to log onto the Intranet.
