Child Development Update November 11, 2006; Toronto, ON At the 2nd Child Development Update, hosted by Bloorview Kids Rehab and The Hospital for Sick Children, Peter Rosenbaum presented a Keynote Address: "Why There Has Never Been a Better Time to be in Developmental Paediatrics!" This talk will be presented again at a conference in Jerusalem in December.

…Physical and Occupational Therapy in Pediatrics Cheryl Missiuna, Lisa Rivard and Doreen Bartlett collaborated on an article in this journal titled: "Exploring assessment tools and the target of intervention for children with Developmental Coordination Disorder". This article was published in the summer of 2006, in vol. 26(1-2): 71-89.
…Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology (DMCN) Carol DeMatteo and colleagues from McMaster Children's Hospital wrote an article that appears in volume 48(4), pp. 245-252, and is titled: "Botulinum toxin as an adjunct to motor learning therapy and surgery for obstetrical brachial plexus injury".
…British Journal of Educational Psychology CanChild research coordinator Lisa Rivard had a paper accepted for publication in this journal entitled "Understanding teachers' perceptions of the motor difficulties of children with developmental coordination disorder (DCD)" . This article was co-authored with C. Missiuna, S. Hanna & L. Wishart and is a result of work from Lisa's masters degree. A poster with the same title will be presented at the International DCD VII Conference in Melbourne, Australia in February.
