Why the CanChild Website is Important

Without funding to get our research findings out to those who can use them, we will be hampered in our ability to have an impact on:

• Children and youth with disabilities who are working to succeed at school and participate in their communities,
• Families who are stressed by the demands of caring for their children,
• Therapists and professionals who are trying to assist children and families using the most up-to-date knowledge and measures, and
• The health and educational systems which are dealing with needs and demands for services and supports that outstrip available resources.
