Land Acknowledgment

CanChild and McMaster University are located within the traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe nations, covered under the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3 (1792) and protected by the Dish with One Spoon Wampum agreement. We are privileged to live and work on this land as guests. We give thanks to those who were here before us and acknowledge our responsibility to respect and honour the intimate relationship Indigenous peoples have with this land.

We seek to embody an anti-racist, anti-oppressive (ARAO) stance and advance action toward Indigenous reconciliation, self-determination and decolonization in our daily interactions and organizational structure.
