Children with Epilepsy Quality of Life (CHEQOL): Parent and Child Questionnaire

Developed in 2003 by Drs. Gabriel M Ronen, Peter L Rosenbaum, and David Streiner, the Children with Epilepsy Quality of Life (CHEQOL): Child and Parent Questionnaires seek to understand the quality-of-life factors that matter most to children and their families. The clinical tool has two versions: one completed by children aged 8-15 years old and the other by their parents.

The 25-item questionnaires provide a standardized way for children and parents to communicate their concerns with healthcare providers, enabling a more tailored and family-centered care. These questionnaires are designed to be short, easy to complete, and provide children and their families with opportunities to play an active role in their health and well-being.
