Biography

Monika graduated from the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Zagreb with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation. She completed her Master of Science in Rehabilitation at the same faculty and has concurrently completed her Professional Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences. She has clinical experience in pediatric rehabilitation of infants and preschool children with multiple disabilities. Monika is passionate about child development, family-centred service, pediatric physical therapy and evidence-based practice for young children with disabilities.

Monika is currently a PhD student in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Peter Rosenbaum. Monika’s doctoral work focuses on the well-being of parents of children with disabilities and the implementation of family-centred care in clinical practice. She’s a co-investigator on the ENVISAGE project. Her committee members are Dr. Briano DiRezze and Dr. Luciana Macedo.
